Scottsbluff Council Gives Green Light for New Cooling Tower at Library

People who live near the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library will be getting some audible relief.

During the most recent Scottsbluff City Council Meeting, City Manager Kevin Spencer said the cooling tower at the library hasn’t worked well for years and cuases quite a noise disturbance for the neighborhood.

Spencer says it’s been long overdue, and notes that the bids all came in under the engineer’s estimate.

The $311,000 contract went to Johnson Controls of Cheyenne, but may not be installed for upwards of 24 months.
